When the rumours and bullies try and get you down,

This is a topic that is very close to my heart...I have witnessed it with my kids, especially in their teens and unfortunately have also experienced this myself in the past. I wish there was a magic wand I could use to erase the hurt that this can cause. The hardest part though for those who are more sensitive is that it can lead to long term scars and create a social anxiety issue. All of these things we want to avoid, for our children and yes even for ourselves, because unfortunately although we would like to think that it does not happen in adulthood, it does, and as I mentioned the pain caused from these things is very, very real.
We are all guilty at one time or another of saying things in the wrong tone, wrong way or sometimes to the wrong person. These things happen and none of us are perfect, we all fail, we all screw up and we all get hurt at one time or another. Lots of times it is not intentional...however there are other times when it is and this is what makes me the most sad. They say to ignore it, they say not to add fuel to the fire by not reacting...this is harder for some and easy for others. I came across this great YouTube Video that I wanted to share, I hope it helps or even gives you some insight into how and why not to let this happen.
I have a business associate who experienced this on such a devastating level that it effected not just her person but her business and family life as well. The effects took years to overcome and were so far reaching that her business ended up closing down. This my friends is so very wrong on so many levels. Controlling outcomes is not something that we are always able to do...the best laid plans can go a bit haywire from time to time, and situations where gossip and bullying are involved...well there is only so much we can do. Gabby Bernstein just wrote a great blog post on this very topic. Letting go of outcomes and trusting that things will work out in the end.
It is my hope that as we continue to become more enlightened and wise heading into 2020 this is something that we could all try and put a stop to. If you or someone you know as had to deal with this just know you are not alone, stand tall in who you are and be the best you that you can. Choose love my friends, always choose love,
Until next time,
